Dance Generation is a fun, non competitive dance environment, we create lots of performance opportunities to teach confidence and growth without the competitive nature. For the dancer who has never danced before to the dancer looking to pursue a career in the commercial and musical theatre industry, we cater for you.
With Director Penny passing on her knowledge and love of dance to young aspiring dancers, Dance Generation is the home of dance in Western Melbourne and a safe, fun and inspiring studio to begin or progress your dance practise.
Penny Higgs
Founder of Dance Generation, Penny Higgs has had an incredible dance career spanning over two decades. Working in television, film, live theatre and major events Australia wide, Penny’s career highlights include So You Think You Can Dance Australia, making the top 8 dancers for Season 2 and travelling Australia with the SYTYCD 2009 Top 10 Arena Spectacular.
Penny was a contestant on Big Brother in 2014 and has had feature acting roles in iFrankenstein, Neighbours and The Kath and Kim Movie. Showcasing her talent, Penny has also featured on Australia’s Got Talent, The Logies, and the Footy Show.
Penny has also worked with a wide range of commercial clients such as Adidas, Pantene, Jetstar, Telstra, Lexus, Mercedes, Crown Casino, The Australian Grand Prix, NBL, NRL and many more.
